I’m interested in how creative practice can be used to negotiate and articulate histories and identities. In the context of South Africa, colonialisation, and apartheid led to the marginalisation and loss of countless histories and identities of people of colour. I start with my family’s mixed genetic history, that includes Zulu, British, Khoi-San and unknowns.
